Pleasant Mountain Fiber Arts Weekend
June 22 - 24, 2012 in Brownfield, Maine

The Pleasant Mountain Fiber Arts Workshops is a three day immersion in fiber arts. Classes are half or full day, and include:

  • Spinning Thicker and Thinner Yarns
  • Lattice felting and Felted Trivets
  • Dyeing
  • Shetland Shawls
  • Twined Knitting
  • Latvian Mittens
  • Wool Basket
  • Mail Basket
  • Silk Fusion Lampshades
  • Nuno Felted Scarves
  • Cobweb Scarves
  • Bookbinding
  • Tapestry Weaving
  • Wool on Wool Christmas fixings
  • Standing Wool Rug
  • Penny Rugs
  • Punch Needle
  • Crochet Beyond the Simple
  • Card Weaving

and more.

In past years we have had students come from all the New England states and from further away. Instructors also come from many different places and are well versed in their art.

This is a three day event but people can come for just one class if they wish. Costs are kept at a minimum to keep fees as low as possible so that the classes are something more can afford to attend. It is not fancy but is very sincere. The focus is on learning rather than frills.

The web site has all the information needed: workshop descriptions, registration form, instructor biographies, links to places of interest in the area and local places to stay and eat. Lunches to order will be available this year.
