WEBS has very helpful staff. I learned how to spin there. Rented a wheel. You do not have to purchase but the rental goes towards the purchase price. They have a nice supply of unusual buttons and loads of yarn. Well wothe the trip if you don't live local.

Wow! What can I say about Webs--it is an amazing store. I used to go there when it was mostly weaving yarns but it has been expanded to be the nicest yarn store you can imagine. There is a huge warehouse in the back of the store that's open to us, too and once the owner almost sent the "Fiber Police" to look for us because we were in there over 3 hours without surfacing for air! Lots of patterns, books and buttons too....Jessie in CT

One could get lost among all the yarns...I was totally overwhelmed when I went there - but, it didn't stop me from staying a few hours and looking around...and buying some nice yarn.

Added bonus - they own the bead shop right around the corner!!!

A warehouse full of yarn - all colors, weights, luxury fibers, commercial, independent - needles and notions - and lots and lots of patterns - knowledgeable and friendly staff - weaving and spinning equipment - books and magazines - and a growing fiber corner for spinners

Seconding the "one could get lost among all the yarns" sentiment... But who wouldn't want to? Everyone in there is so friendly, and browsing is a pleasure. Even my boyfriend wanted to touch all the yarns, and started suggesting things I could make... (This may have been helped by the book on knitted lingerie he found to look through...) Also, their selection of fiber books is very well organized, and it's easy to find a specific topic.

Yarn Nirvana. You can spend hours in the store only to discover that there is much larger warehouse right behind with even more fabulous finds.

My LYS what can I say. Fortunately live close enough that can go there on a whim and most likely find what I need. Have known the Elkins since the beginning.

I have been to WEBS just once, and I am glad I don't live nearby. The shop itself is spacious and well organized, and then for more fun you can wander the warehouse on your own. Stunning selection and a great discount program. Don't miss it.
